BIO
NIYA is a 19 year old singer/songwriter based between San Antonio, Texas and Austin, Texas. Born in Athens Greece, she has had the privilege of living around the globe from Charlotte, NC, to Athens, Greece to Dubai, U.A.E. From a very young age NIYA has had a gift to entertain and has gravitated toward the spotlight. She has had opportunities to learn, perform and refine her talent through lessons, mentors and stage experience.
Her performance journey began at just five years old, dancing on stage in Dubai as a young modern dancer. That same year, she discovered a love of singing and recorded a playful YouTube cover of Crystal Gayle's Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue to showcase her budding voice.
Since then, she's gained a wide range of training and experience— from school musicals and solo performances to award-winning performances. She's studied television and theatre acting, voice, and dance, all while seizing a few opportunities to perform. Her theatre journey came full circle in her first year of college, when her former high school invited her back to serve as assistant theatre director, where she stepped into a mentorship role and began coaching other performers.
NIYA started creating music at 14, writing her first simple folk track. While her heart now beats for pop, she continues to explore a range of vocal styles through cover videos on TikTok and Instagram. A true multi-talent, she not only sings and writes but also plays piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar and ukulele—and even mixes her own music. Her latest demo Sick in the Head was released on Spotify in May 2025. Within the next 2 months, she had released 2 more demos, and has more music in the works.
